Safety Policy Rules

Dear Summer Camp Parents.
We are really looking forward to our 26th summer camp.
We have some great shows picked out and a wonderful faculty to direct them.
It is our sincerest wish that your child has an incredible summer filled with fun and learning.
That said I think we can all agree that safety is the most important issue for the
success of any activity involving children.
Recent events have made the Coral Gables
First United Methodist Church, the Alper IC and Miami Childrens Theater to be more
vigilant than ever when it comes to your child's security.
Beginning Monday, the first day of camp, both MC locations will lock the doors
at 9:15 am. We will hand out procedures on how to contact MCT directors if you are
running late or need to pick up your child early. After care pick up will follow similar
procedures: at 4:30 we will again lock the doors and have and access code to enter the
building.
Another issue on all of our minds is COVID, Mimi Childrens Theater had a
perfect record last summer - not one summer camper contracted COVID.
Let's keep that track record going! Our current COVID policy follows the guidelines of the CDC, the Alper ICC and Coral Gables First United Methodist Church.
At this time we are mask optional but we encourage all families consider their and other's safety; keep children home when they are sick, self-test if there is any indication they bear COVID symptoms and quarantine if they test negative.
Let's all work together and keep your children healthy so they can enjoy the camp.
