We are so excited to announce our next Mainstage Jr production… Willy Wonka KIDS! 🍭✨
This is a registration-based program, which means every child enrolled will be part of the show. After seeing such an amazing turnout for The Lion King auditions, we’ve decided to extend the age range to 6–14 so even more performers can join. 💜
This Mainstage Jr session will have one class only:
Tuesdays & Thursdays • 4:30–6pm
(Our Monday and Wednesday slots will be dedicated to Lion King rehearsals.)

A MAJOR announcement from Miami Childrens Theater that is six months in the making: we are ready to open up Miami Stage Costume – a seventeen hundred square foot warehouse that has thousands of costumes and props for local theaters, television and movie production companies to rent from. This has been a labor of love by Beth Fath @bethfath , who for thirty-five years has assembled an exquisite inventory with her impeccable taste. Curated by Beth Fath and managed by the amazing Amanda Enriquez @fabulace2 , Miami Stage Costume immediately becomes one of the premier costume and prop rental venues in South Florida. The beauty of Miami Stage Costume is that it is an equally great resource for middle and high schools theater programs to costume a show but also a tremendous venue for TV and film stylists as the inventory has tons of vintage and couture pieces spanning even decades.

(including Ana Villafane (pictured) as Gloria Estefan in the hit Broadway musical On Your Feet. Actors trained at Miami Childrens Theater have been featured in hit Broadway shows such as Hamilton, Kinky Boots, Dear Evan Hansen, Tootsie, Cats, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods., The Outsiders and Water for Elephants, Two significant distinctions occurred in the years 2010-2020: MCT Director Tim Fath was honored with a Tony Award Nomination for Excellence in Theater Education and Miami Childrens Theater was voted Best Overall Theater and Best Childrens Theater in Broadway World’s Regional “Best of the Decade” voting.
