We are looking for a great time and big turnout for the 2023 MCT Banquet.  For many of you it will be your first banquet so we thought we would describe what goes on at the MCT Banquet. 

Awards

MCT looks back at the 2022-23 year and awards great performances and shows as voted by you!  After the first weekend of Les Miserables we will send out a ballot in which you vote for your favorite performances and shows. The awards are broken up into two categories: Junior shows and Senior shows. For this banquet we will divide the nominations as such:

Junior Shows: 

The Descendants and Annie Jr.

Senior Shows:

Voters will vote for show of the year in each category and everyone in that cast will get a special certificate.

Individual Awards:

MCT will have many nominations in this category. Please note that if you are a younger actor in a Senior show or an older actor in a Junior show you will be nominated.  Some of the categories are:

Best Performance (Actor, Actress)

Best Supporting Performance (Actor, Actress)

Best Newcomer (Senior and Junior)

Best Dance/ Group Number (Senior and Junior)

Best Duo (Senior and Junior)

Best Comic Performance (Senior and Junior)

Best Techie

And more! To be able to vote you must have performed in at least one one of the above shows. One vote per student. 

A Look Ahead:

Perhaps the funnest part of the evening is the unveling of the 2023-24 season. Those shows will be announced in a video on the big screen!

We always have student hostesses for our banquet and this year we have the pleasure t announce the 2023 team: Amanda Clegg, Thalia Paz, Sydney Simon and Kelly Tomlin.

Dinner:

A yummy three course dinner provided by the Killian Palms Country Club.

After we announce the new season we open the dance floor up so you all can celebrate!

Parents:

Parents are most definitely welcome and have always been a big part of our banquet.
