MCT Summer Camp 2024
Welcome to our 2024 Summer Camp page. There are some big changes at Miami Childrens Theater this summer but we just know you will love our new locations! They were handpicked to give your child a fun and safe environment. Even though the buildings may be different your child will experience the same old MCT with all the directors, choreographers and teachers your kids love as well as our time-honored tradition of working four weeks on a musical and then presenting them to family and friends at the end of the session. Through this transition we looked at 20 plus sites and the partners we ended up with had these three things in common: 1) They understand our mission at MCT and fully support it 2) They have great, safe facilities that give your child all the tools they will need to excell and 3) their location was close to our former camp at the Alper JCC. We are confident our families will love the changes – we are truly partnering with great people and institutions that will make your child’s summer the best!
Our Camp for 5 to 8 Year Olds at Killian Pines Methodist Church
This beautiful, old church is the perfect place for our little ones! Located less than 1/2 mile away from our current home at the Alper JCC, this pretty facility is nickname “The Little Church On The Big Lot.” It is lined with tons of trees, has a great outdoor playground and is known for proud peacocks strutting their stuff around the grounds. We have the church all to ourselves and parents – the parking and security and safeness of the church will make you so happy. The basic schedule of our 5 to 8 year old camp will be Monday through Friday 10 am to 3pm with early morning drop off at 9 and late pick up at 4. Your kids will rehearse their show in the big room at the church but will perform their final show with full costumes, set, lights and sound at Miami-Dade College in Kendall. The teachers are all the same teachers you had last year and we are so excited to start this venture with Killian Pines Methodist.. Warning: we are limiting the enrollment for this camp to 35 students.
5 to 8 Year Old Camp – All You Need to Know:

Camp Hours are Monday through Friday 10 am to 3pm with free early morning drop off at 9 and late pickup till 4
Cost per session: $900 with the option of paying a $450 deposit with the second payment due May 1st.
Lunch:
Family must provide lunch except for Fridays. The church has a full kitchen with refrigerators, oven and microwaves.
Attire:
Each child will be given a MCT Creative Camp shirt. For the week just dress comfortable – jeans, sneakers, shorts – summer clothes!
Final Show and Final Week:
So your family can plan: the 5 to 8 year olds will have their final performance on Friday, June 28th. The Fourth of July falls on a Thursday this year which really breaks up our show week. So for the final week they will be in camp on July 1, 2, and 3.

Broadway Bound will have the same session dates and times and will be held at Miami-Dade College (Kendall Campus). Broadway Bound shows are: Aladdin Session A and Shrek Jr. for Session B. Creative Camps (9-12) your shows will be Aladdin Jr. Session A and Peter Pan Jr. Session B. We will have registration links and complete information up next week.
